Hiatus – a break or interruption in the continuity of a work, series, action, etc.
Seriously Groovy has been on an hiatus for the last couple of years. We found that despite our very best intentions and efforts, we were bashing our heads against dissatisfied people on all sides; from the artists, the media and even the bank manager. It all became so much less fun than we originally felt it should be. Frankly, being a truly indie label, we seemed to become everyone’s enemy and no-one’s friend. So we went down the garden to eat worms!
That said, we simply can’t leave it alone. 12+ years into it and still in abject obscurity we love the music – not necessarily all those involved in making and promoting it – although in truth we do have loads of friends and even fans out there. So, we are returning to the foray and are about to announce some stuff – in a lo-key diy way that is. We have started to revamp the web site – lots of technical issues to overcome – which should offer some idea of the past and eventually the future.
To the faithful; thanks for your patience, we hope to be able to reward you soon. To the young blood; stick around, keep popping back, you may even come to enjoy the experience.
