Jet Johnson - "Seven Winters" mp3
|
SludgefeastSludgefeast hold nothing sacred. The holy shrine that is Rock 'N' Roll is to be butchered once again. And about time too. Blood will be spilt. So look out baby, because here they come. With cheap out of tune guitars and more distortion than an LP left on a hot radiator. They are a 3 piece. They aim to rock like no other, with songs no longer than one-and-a-half minutes, and occasionally shorter than seventeen seconds. Who can argue with this. "Common, we'll take you all on" is the war cry of of the belting 13 second tune they call "Coirins #4". "Victory will be for Sludgefeast" they spit. However, their songs are not without their infectious side, with the driving speed of The Ramones or Bon Scott's AC-DC together with some damn catchy lyrics. Live they are crushingly loud and give you the feeling that they are only just capable of playing their instruments well enough to scrape through each song. The most power packed sex, drugs and punk machine this side of Pappa's Got A Brand New Bag. With Sludgefeast its easy. Just take a syringe full of the essence from The Stooges, Pussy Galore and The Jesus And Mary Chain and inject all three members of the band with as much of this stuff as their bodies can take. Then, put them in the studio for a few hours and press a record.
